Literature Text

Let's say you are presented with a bottle.

You are told that the bottle contains a poison.

You are told that if you drink the poison, it will make you feel dizzy and sick.

That it will cause you to act out of character.

That it will cause you to do things you wouldn't normally dream of doing.

You are told it might cause you to do humiliating things.

Or dangerous things.

Things you will regret.

It may cause you to lose your eyesight.

Your speech.

Your reflexes.

You might just slip into a coma.

You are told that the morning after, you will feel like the world is ending.

You will be sick.

You will have a splitting headache.

You will be in pain, and you will have no recollection of the night before.

In the long term, this poison may cause you worse problems.

Cancer.

Heart conditions.

Obesity.

Depression.

Disease.

Death.

Let's say you are presented with a bottle.

This bottle contains a poison.

Would you drink the poison?

No?

You wouldn't?

You wouldn't.

Then why do you continue to do so?
Sorry about how morbid this is. I've just been thinking about it recently.

If you don't know what I'm talking about... I hope the real world comes for you soon.
